HEROES FOR THE COMMUNITY!

There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about while at the same time, making a conscious choice to pursue this shared purpose and dream. The residents of Deep Sea Slum deeply care about their sense of belonging and on a daily basis, strive to help each other have a chance at life. This sense of unity and genuine concern for their neighbours was made evident when a fire broke out in the slum that sits within the neighborhoods of Westlands and Parklands. More than 200 families were left homeless and despite the attempts of residents to help each other, their capacity did not suffice. Tropical Heat likes to empower communities that show the will to rise beyond their limits and thus, Tropical Heat donated 200 blankets and food stuff such as maize flour and rice.
