Shocking fact: Around 36% of Kenyans live below the international poverty line. That translates to 14.4 million Kenyans that cannot afford Ksh 200 per day. 14.4 million Kenyans are struggling to put food on their table and clothes on their back.

Because of this, 65% of women and girls in Kenya are unable to afford period products. This results in girls missing 4 days of school each month, an average of 20% of the school year.

Tropical Heat is committed to addressing some of these issues in our community. We’ve already made multiple donations towards feeding programs around the country, and we won’t stop there. We will continue giving towards efforts that put food in hungry mouths. We have multiple projects including donating sanitary towels to girls in need, food donations on a weekly basis, and other initiatives such as conducting a free medical camp in Kiambu county.
