HEROES FOR THE COMMUNITY!
Tropical Heat supported Cleopatra Wanjiku, the CEO of “The Voice of a Black Child” campaign during her visit to HOREC to mark the end of her campaign. Wanjiku has been running this campaign to create awareness and sensitize people on the stigma surrounding HIV while also, teaching young people how to live with HIV and overcome self-stigma. HOREC is one of the orphanages that houses HIV infected children. As Tropical Heat, we wanted to help alleviate the pain and sorrow of these young souls and what better is there than to give the kids their favorite Tropical Heat snacks? Without a doubt, this brightened up their day and in return, filled our hearts with joy when we saw the children beaming with happiness.
In this case, these children are the actual HEROES! They battle with a disease every day and yet, manage to stay strong. Tropical Heat is for the community; we believe we have two hands, one to help ourselves and the second, to help others.
