HEROES FOR THE ENVIRONMENT!
This year’s World Environment Day was a call to all of us to take collective, transformative action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore our planet. As a group, we strive to be champions for environmental conservation by undertaking and supporting causes that are aimed at protecting the environment from further damage. We also aim at raising awareness through education on the importance of environmental conservation and by investing in systems and resource materials that encourage responsible waste management. Tropical Heat has placed dustbins in different parts of the city, and has donated dustbins to schools and children’s homes. Our aim is to continuously, make environmentally conscious decisions and thus, Tropical Heat has committed to planting 10,000 trees in partnership with Sukuma Twende Trust. Therefore, to mark World Environment Day, Tropical Heat undertook a Tree Planting Exercise together with Sukuma Twende Trust at Kereita Forest. Of the 10,000 trees, we planted 3000 trees together and trust that this will go a long way to help to ease the adverse effects of climate change as well as improve the quality of air and water. This is also our contribution towards Kenya’s goal to increase the area under Forest Cover to 10% by 2030. “In the universe are billions of galaxies, in our galaxy are billions of planets, but there is Only One Earth”, join us and be Heroes for the Environment!
